NATALIE HALE, PhD
Licensed Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychologist
Dr. Hale is a Licensed Psychologist who has dedicated her career to improving the mental health of children, adolescents, and families. Dr. Hale received her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Missouri – Kansas City in 2003 and completed the APA Accredited Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, Center on Child Abuse and Neglect with emphasis areas in Pediatric Psychology and Child Maltreatment in 2004. Dr. Hale has a wealth of experience in the assessment and treatment of childhood traumatic stress including training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy. She treats a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and adjustment problems in children and adolescents such as anxiety, depression, posttraumatic stress, self-harming behaviors and problematic sexual behaviors from developmentally appropriate, trauma informed perspectives. Dr. Hale has worked with youth and families in a variety of settings including those involved in foster care and juvenile justice, and has a particular interest in working with children who were adopted domestically and internationally. She currently co-facilitates a support group through Unsilenced for individuals who have experienced the Troubled Teen Industry. She holds membership with the American Psychological Association (APA.org), American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (APSAC.org), and the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA.org). Dr. Hale previously served as Clinical Assistant Professor in the Psychology Department at the University of St. Louis and more recently, in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine at the University of Washington School of Medicine. Dr. Hale holds licensure in the State of Washington and is part of PsyPact, which allows for telehealth therapy sessions with clients in ALL states EXCEPT Alaska, California, Iowa, Hawaii, Louisiana, Montana, New Mexico and Oregon.
